Luis earned his bachelor’s in Urban Planning and Public Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After graduating, Luis began working in the nonprofit sector, where he developed and coordinated trauma-informed programming for low-income and immigrant youth. In the process, Luis has worked with families from various backgrounds, representing different ethnicities and socioeconomic levels. Luis has worked in community mental health for over two years. As an intake coordinator for C4, Luis Conducted mental health assessments, including clinical interviews of adults and youth, to determine preliminary diagnosis and identify initial treatment goals and objectives. Luis’s past case management responsibilities included providing stability, support, and guidance for mental health clients navigating challenging situations, including domestic violence, conflict, and housing insecurity. Luis’s background combines a solid blend of experience in case management and office administration. As Peterson’s office coordinator, Luis supports back-end office functions, including supply management, safety procedures, internal audits, and intake line.
