Gabrielle Fischer-Benitez, MA, ATR-P

Child & Adolescent Therapist

Gabrielle (Gabi) received her Master’s in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University and prior to that, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Illinois University. Gabi has experience working with family dynamics and within educational systems, previously providing therapy services within inner-city Chicago schools. Additionally, Gabi worked with unaccompanied youth, providing services to help support their transition and adjustment. Currently, Gabi approaches her work with children, adolescents, and their families using an Adlerian framework, focusing primarily on a sense of belonging, inter-connectedness, hope, and individual strengths. In her work, Gabi utilizes traditional talk therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, and incorporates play into her sessions, acknowledging the most significant aspect of therapy to be the mutual trust and respect that is formed in the relationship between client and therapist. Gabi specializes in working with LGBTQ individuals, individuals experiencing grief and loss, and those experiencing anxiety-related symptoms. When she is not in the office, Gabi enjoys spending time with her family, working on individual artwork, and binging scary movies on Netflix.

Gabi’s pronouns are she/hers.
