Dani Valbuena Valderrama, QMHP

Dani is a Qualified Mental Health Professional and earned his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at CUNY-Hunter College in New York City. Dani has experience working with youth, LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as folks living with severe and persistent mental illness experiencing homelessness and HIV/AIDS. His approach is person-centered, with a strong focus on providing empathy and unconditional positive regard, as well as implementing mindfulness techniques. Dani’s goal is to help clients focus on their strengths, while providing the support necessary to overcome any challenges they may be facing in their everyday lives. He is extremely passionate about lifting others up in hopes of helping them reach their full potential, and encouraging folks to be successful members of society to help create a world that is wonderful place to live in. In his free time, Dani enjoys strengthening his spiritual practice, going on long walks around the city, soaking up the sun, cooking, and going out dancing whenever possible. Dani’s pronouns are He/They.
